Our Story

Why GodlyNow exists.

Too many people quietly struggle through seasons of grief, anxiety, relational pain, and spiritual confusion because the right help feels too far away, too expensive, or too clinical. GodlyNow exists to close that gap: faith-rooted, professional counseling that is human, confidential, and accessible for every season of life.

Our mission

We believe that healing happens in relationship. A trained counselor who shares your faith can hold both your mental health and your spiritual life without asking you to separate them. GodlyNow connects people with those counselors through a platform built on trust, privacy, and the conviction that every person deserves dignified care.

Our commitments

These are the principles we hold ourselves to and the ones you can hold us to as well.

  • Human counselors only

There is no AI in the counseling room. Every session is a real conversation with a real person who has trained for this work. We will never change that.

  • Confidential and encrypted by design

Session notes, messages, and recordings are encrypted at rest. Your counselor cannot share what you tell them except in the narrow circumstances the law requires, and we tell you exactly what those are.

  • Counselors who share your faith

Every counselor on GodlyNow is licensed, credentialed, or vetted by our team. They bring professional training and a genuine Christian faith, so you never have to choose between competence and shared values.

  • Dignity and accessibility

Pricing is straightforward. Young people and students have their own tiers. Churches and organizations can subsidize care for their communities. No one should be priced out of a safe conversation.

Who you will meet

GodlyNow hosts three types of counselors, each suited to different needs and seasons.

Licensed therapists

State-licensed mental health professionals (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD) who integrate clinical practice with Christian faith. They handle complex mental health concerns, trauma, grief, and relational difficulty.

Pastoral counselors

Ordained or credentialed ministry leaders with formal counseling training. They are particularly well-suited for spiritual direction, life transitions, pre-marital guidance, and faith crises.

Vetted ministry leaders

Trained lay counselors operating under supervision within church or parachurch organizations. They provide peer support and practical guidance for everyday challenges, with clear escalation paths to licensed care.
