Terms of Service

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GodlyNow. Users under 18 (minors) must obtain verifiable parental or guardian consent before booking a session. By registering, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement or that a parent or guardian has consented on your behalf. GodlyNow reserves the right to suspend or close accounts that do not meet these requirements.

Nature of the service

GodlyNow is a platform that connects clients with independent counselors. The counselors listed on the platform are independent professionals, not employees or agents of GodlyNow. Each counselor is responsible for the professional services they provide, including maintaining their own licenses, certifications, and professional liability insurance where required.

GodlyNow vets counselors prior to listing (see Counselor Verification below) but does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcomes of any counseling relationship. The counseling relationship is between you and your counselor.

Not a substitute for emergency care

GodlyNow does not provide crisis intervention, emergency mental health services, or medical care. Sessions are scheduled in advance and are not available on-demand for acute emergencies. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact emergency services (911 in the United States) or a crisis line (988) immediately. For non-emergency crisis support between sessions, discuss a safety plan with your counselor.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at legal@godlynow.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You may not share your account with others or transfer it to another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we have reason to believe are involved in fraudulent activity.

Bookings, payments, subscriptions, and cancellations

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on your billing date. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access through that date. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing period unless required by applicable law.

Pay-per-session bookings are charged at the time of booking. Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the session may be subject to a late-cancellation fee at the counselor's discretion.

All payments are processed by Stripe. GodlyNow does not store card numbers. Pricing is listed in United States dollars unless otherwise stated.

Session recording

Sessions are not recorded by default. Recording requires the affirmative consent of both the client and the counselor before the session begins. Neither party may record a session through external means without the other party's explicit, prior consent. Unauthorized recording is grounds for immediate account termination and may violate applicable wiretapping or privacy laws.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity, age, or professional credentials.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, threaten, or harm counselors or other users.
• Attempt to circumvent the platform to arrange off-platform transactions.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or access the platform through unauthorized automated means.
• Share account access with others.

Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.

Counselor verification

We review counselor credentials, licensure, and professional backgrounds before listing them on the platform. However, GodlyNow does not conduct continuous monitoring of license status after onboarding and cannot guarantee that a counselor's credentials remain current or that outcomes will meet your expectations. If you have concerns about a counselor's conduct or credentials, contact us at legal@godlynow.com.

Intellectual property

The GodlyNow platform, including its design, text, graphics, software, and trademarks, is owned by GodlyNow Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written permission. Content you create (such as profile information and messages) remains yours, and you grant us a limited license to store and display it in order to operate the service.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. GodlyNow disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GodlyNow's liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to GodlyNow in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100 USD. GodlyNow is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform will be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
