Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

GodlyNow is committed to making our platform usable by everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We believe that access to compassionate, faith-rooted counselling must not be limited by barriers in our design or code.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across all pages and features of this website. This means designing for people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice input, magnification software, and other assistive technologies.

Standards we follow

We design and test against the following standards and guidelines:

  • WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The international benchmark for accessible web content, published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.
  • ARIA Authoring Practices. We use ARIA landmarks, live regions, and roles to ensure dynamic content is announced correctly by screen readers.
  • Colour contrast. All text meets a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (normal text) or 3:1 (large text) against its background.
  • Keyboard navigability. Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators on all controls.
  • Error identification. Form errors are identified in text and associated programmatically with the relevant field via aria-describedby.

Current status

We are working towards full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. Some areas of the platform are still being improved, including:

  • Complex data tables in organisational reporting dashboards
  • Video session player controls (improvements in progress)
  • Certain third-party embedded content over which we have limited control

We conduct ongoing accessibility reviews and resolve issues as they are identified or reported.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on GodlyNow, we would like to hear about it. Please get in touch and we will respond within five business days.

We aim to respond within five business days.

When reporting an issue, please include the page URL, the browser and version you are using, and a description of what you were trying to do.

Requesting assistance

If you need content in an alternative format, such as large print or plain text, or if you require help completing a task on our platform, contact us at support@godlynow.com. We will do our best to provide a suitable alternative within three business days.
